There is no better city to take advantage of the extra hours of sunshine than San Diego and Little Italy favorite Kettner Exchange is celebrating spring’s arrival with a new cocktail menu and its first ever outdoor food festival.
Crafted by Beverage Director Steven Tuttle, Kettner Exchange’s new cocktail menu launched on March 16th and features a variety of spring-inspired flavors. Highlights include the Honey Nectar, a refreshing mix of four year aged blanco rum, Aperol, lime and honey; the Gunpowder Martini, which combines Navy Strength gin, Cocchi Americano, falernum tropical syrup, maraschino and orange bitters; the Barbados Sidecar, a blend of Black Barrel Rum, Cointreau, lime, cane syrup and peach bitters; the Stone Blossom, made with whiskey, apricot, pineapple, lemon and Demerara; and The Grandfather, prepared with bourbon, apple brandy, sweet vermouth, peychaud’s bitters and angostura bitters.
From 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, Kettner Exchange will host its first ever KEX Fest, an educational and delicious outdoor spirits and seafood festival. Tickets are priced at $45 (with an early bird ticket price of $35 for a limited time) and will give guests access to more than 15 wine, beer and spirits tastings and signature passed bites by Executive Chef Brian Redzikowski; interactive food and beverage experiences including a sashimi demonstration, live music and more.
