Pappalecco, a local Italian coffee, pastry and dining destination, is celebrating its new store or “home” as the brother-owner duo like to call it in Cardiff by the Sea on Wednesday, May 3 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pappalecco in Cardiff is opening its doors for a grand opening party and celebrating the Italian way with a classic Italian aperitivo or “happy hour” to invite the community, family and friends to enjoy together.
“We are excited to have our Tuscan homes start to expand into North County and share the Tuscan tradition all over San Diego County,” said Lorenzo Bucci, Pappalecco chef and co-owner. “Pappalecco is a neighborhood symbol and I think every neighborhood should have one!”
Pappalecco’s Cardiff by the Sea home opened in October 2016. Now that the location received its wine and beer license; the grand opening celebration will include an aperitivo that includes wine and small margherita pizza tastes, so guests can get to know Pappalecco and the Tuscan culture. RSVPs are required to attend.
All Pappalecco menu items including its bread, pastries and gelato are made locally at its production kitchen in Point Loma. Pappalecco’s food items are all made with five simple ingredients imported from Tuscany to stick to the culinary principles that emphasize freshness, quality and simplicity of the Tuscan lifestyle which can be tasted at the grand opening party.
