Known for a section of its menu dedicated to popular street foods from around the world, San Diego’s Red Card Café now offers new daily specials and new brunch dishes.
Fried Chicken Mondays: Red Card Café is embracing the fried chicken movement with Chef Alfonso Arellano’s Southern-style recipe featuring Nashville style spicy BBQ sauce with braised kale and rainbow swiss chard. This weekly special is available all day every Monday for $14.
Taco Tuesdays: Red Card celebrates every San Diegan’s favorite meal of the week with a new Taco Tuesday special featuring three tacos for $8 or five tacos for $12, plus happy hour priced craft beers from 3:30 p.m. to close. Tacos include Chicken Mole (special recipe from Chef Alfonso Arellano with cotija and pickled radish), Pork Carnitas (with salsa verde, cotija, cilantro and diced onion) and Carne (with charred salsa roja, Mexican crème, cilantro and diced onion).
Burger & Wine Wednesdays: Guests can now savor half price bottles of wine with no corkage fee alongside their choice of any of Red Card Café’s four burgers all day every Wednesday. Burgers include the Fried Onion Burger (frico, fried onions and mushrooms), the Gorgonzola Burger (bacon jam, arugula, balsamic reduction) the Red Card Classic Burger and a weekly-changing Chef’s Choice burger. All burgers are priced at $13 and include a side of fries, yam chips or mixed greens.
New Brunch Favorites: Red Velvet Waffles with whipped cream cheese frosting and lardons, as well as Chef Alfonso’s Chicken n’ Waffles are now available during Red Card Café’s Saturday and Sunday brunch from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Plus, guests can enjoy more recent additions like New Orleans-inspired Shrimp Beignets and a Caprese Omelette with heirloom tomatoes and burrata.
